Safe Haven: The Rainbow-Jordan Wilderness is a new film by Damien Gillis and the
Valhalla Wilderness Society.

The Rainbow-Jordan Wilderness is as wild a slice of wilderness as one can hope to find – a
rare valley-bottom old growth forest. Working with a team of biologists since 2017 to
discover and document the incredible biodiversity of the area, the Valhalla Wilderness
Society (VWS) developed a proposal calling on the BC Government to protect the area by
granting it park status.

The 30-minute film is a call to action for British Columbians and will be followed by a
presentation by VWS biologist and campaigner Amber Peters with stunning photos taken
over years of research in the ancient forest.

Castle Theatre, 185 Columbia Ave, Castlegar, BC.
Saturday, March 15, 2025, Doors open at 6:30pm. Film starts at 7pm.
